The Secret

There's a man who lives in hell All his life, he's been there He walks and stalks like a brighter day But he's stuck in those memories that never fade All alone, he watched us grow From strangers, to lovers, to everyone you know He kept a secret, never told A secret so wretched, it stole his soul This man is broken, inside and out His face is weary from all those traveling hours He sits quietly, never speaking a word Holding this secret inside his world A breath is drawn and then let go What is his secret? You'll never know For he is wise beyond his years He's traveled many miles to be right here He sits aside the drifting sea Of faces and souls that have company But here he is, alone and cold Keeping his secret, never to be told
