The Cough

by mollie-rose-trail

Last night I spoke and spat my sentiments. Words and memories spilling out like wet tissues from my trash can. Last night anger and outrage floated through the air, infection heard in their agreement. We were sick of it. Last night as the lights went out, mine stayed on. My stomach wrenched, my throat roared each cough as painful as my words were.
