Looking out over the ocean
waves crash against the sand
first sounding enormous
then slowing....receding
into the calm shores.
Relentless.....lapping
powerful sensations
reminding me of the whirlwinds of a storm.
That builds up ferociously at first
...only to die out
Rain washes away
revealing beautiful sparkling drops
sunset's brilliance, many colors combine
to create light blues, oranges, then reds
purple's passion...fading to pink
A million grains of sand.
Leaning back against the dunes
supporting my weight like a pillow.
Suddenly the pressure of my world lifting.
Remember peace?
Hope restores, strength rebuilds
Loving every sound and feeling good
even ambitious again.
