I have faith but faith keeps playing me,
no worries, play on.
And when in matters of the heart,
it plays me forlorn.
I couldn't even prove my worth in this,
nor how genuine in that.
It smacks me down six feet under,
like I was a choice faith had regret.
I was almost near,
that washed out dream of mine.
And everytime you are here,
I feel that invisible line.
Faith got interrupted,
they tell me I'll never reach it.
Sometimes I could almost feel that coldness,
where our hands still fits.
Perhaps with a bigger leap of faith,
it might just save some bits of my washed out dream.
And maybe we could be more genuine
than it seems.
I have faith, but faith keeps playing me,
no worries, play on.
Play on, to the very last of our song.
