I hear you speak of her
and I know it must have hurt.
I could see pass a lie,
the betrayal within your words.
You'd probably make do with "I'm fine",
"It's okay", "I'll be alright".
Yet when darkness falls,
you're alone tonight, you hardly make the fight.
Perhaps as you sleep through this,
images plays like broken record.
Of happy times, of better days,
and at times when you'd fought.
And perhaps at the other end,
you're standing waiting for your baby in white.
Yet with a twist of fate,
your happy ending's story has been rewrite.
I could almost see a tear,
behind those disappointed eyes.
Darling, wipe those tears, you're way too nice,
I'll show you your baby had been telling you lies.
Put on that red shirt and
jive through the night.
Cause darling you know,
you're in for better rides.
