Street Walker
I saw a ******* the street
selling her body,Β Β last night
Have you no shame?: I asked
Beware the wrath of God
I am ashamed!: She said
But, my child's in need of food,
my husband an addict
and my God, in deep sleep
Does God sleep?: I asked
Mine does: she said
If not, my world
would've been different
Mine is awake
I plea and atone, instead
For, he's KIND
and MERCIFUL
Your god is the god of the Pharaohs: She said
Not of the indigents
Or else
wouldn't be worshiped by you
