A rose was laid upon the earth
Where love gone by now resides
The summer breeze blows gently by
And memories now soar high

Into the blue sky above
And rejoin their eternal love
Of his departed wife

Tears fall from his cheeks
Pain and sorrow now rack his life
His loneliness cuts like a knife
To his knees he falls and sobs
And the sky turns grey
Sin
