Looking up,
Tonight I had seen the stars
They pulled at me
Like my muscles pulled for my legs
To sit the **** down and quit
Straining them and myself
So much

You blew out smoke
And I inhaled
My own trepidation
And loneliness
That had been floating in the air
Since the sun was up

You went home
And I stayed
Outside
Inside
In the cold
And in the hot hot heat

Looking for your face in the crowd
