Surfer Girl

Lifetimes

She was mine

Lost and devine

Unearthing sublime

Inside

All the time

Our love was nuclear

And is

Lovers, foes and friends

My student

My pride

My weakness

My place to hide

The inevitable slide

Every time

I won’t sign to realize

It’s not mine

To decide

I cannot get her

To the other side

Despite my pride

And plans I devise

She rides out

On the morning tide

Everyday

Without me
