Take
A closer look
At the world around you
There’s nothing telling to
In the Rule Book,
It’s true

But, focus in for
Another look
A closer Look
And things may not be
As they seemed
Immediately
Or as they seemed before
New shapes, and colors
Appear
On the floor

Zoom in
Quite close
To a tiny timid flower
Give confidence as
You watch it
Grow
Hour, by hour

A new tree
Stripped bare
Clutched
In winter’s repose
Glistening with crystal hair
Winter’s frozen dew

Stoop down and see
A shiny
New
Penny
Old Abe’s face turned up
Soaking up sun and waiting
To be
Someone’s lucky day

So
Take a closer look
Take a moment to be
Reflective
Surprised
To see
This old familiar world
From this New Perspective
