Jasmine’s Lullaby

I was promised the world I was promised great wonders I was promised it would be like a Magic carpet ride I was given new hopes I was given empty memories I was shown a plastic dream in which My fears could hide A whole new world A whole new disillusioned scene They dragged me way up high On a pillar in the sky And now I’m falling off of it again Now I see the new world Babies still dying from hunger Crack whores singing down under all those Covered bridges downtown We are left in this world Choking on our own protests They wiped their hands of the blood as they say “It’s your problem now” A whole new world A whole new mountain to carry We put them way up high On pillars in the sky And now they’re free of the mess they left down here

Feel free to sing this if you know the melody. I personally prefer it that way. P.S. Yes, I do love Disney that much.
