myself

the knots, they began

deep down in my stomach

tendrils reached out,

wrapped around every piece

of everything alive

inside of me, i feel

the twisted fingers,

reaching quietly for this

frayed and broken heart of

mine,

To fix;

to hide;

to drag

it deep back down where no one else

can see the beautiful

mess that i have made of

myself
