You’re eyes were like sea glass
Luminous blue and green
And the stars danced
As the wind tickled our backs
You held my hand when I asked
And it felt like
We were constellations

My heart kept expanding
Beneath my chest
It could’ve been the drugs
Inhabiting my bloodstream
But I’d like to think
It was the way your hands
Felt, brushing my skin
