Can you please stay?
I don’t want you to go.
I got something to say,
Something I want you to know.

I wrote this poem to make you see,
That you and I are meant to be.
To tell you how I really feel,
That my love for you is oh so real.
So c'mon take my hand,
I’ll make you understand.
That I’m the perfect guy,
To always have by your side.

Each night I look up at the sky,
Wishing that you and I,
Would always be side to side.
Cause you mean so much to me,
I want the whole world to see,
That you and I are meant to be,
That this is our destiny.

That’s why I wrote this poem to make you see,
You and I are meant to be.
To tell you how I really feel,
That my love for you is oh so real.
So c'mon take my hand,
I’ll make you understand.
That I’m the perfect guy,
to always have by your side.

But you never seem to stay,
You always go away.
I could never understand,
Why you wouldn’t take my hand.
Did I do something wrong,
Is it because I wrote this poem.
Maybe you and I aren’t meant to be,
Maybe it was just my fantasy.
To have you in my arms,
To protect you from all harm.

Maybe I wrote this poem to make myself see,
That you and I could never be.
So I tell myself how I really feel,
That I’m stupid for thinking it was real.
So I looked on my hands,
I finally understand.
That I’m just a guy,
Who wants to be by your side.

Then the next thing I knew,
You were in clear view.
Walking your way up to me,
I thought this is just a fantasy.
So I turned around,
To go away from this town.
Then I heard you say,
“Can you please stay,
I don’t want you to go.
I got something to say,
Something I think you should know.”
