Life will beat you down.
Hammers and swords,
Reprimands and harsh words.
With this truth comes choices.
Run, or stand and don our armor.
Our helms of self-confidence
and visors of understanding
Our legplates of purpose
and shoes of stalwart determination.
Our gloves that steady shaking hands.
Not to say the armor will never break,
for the opposite is almost guaranteed.
