Baked Apologies

A night pure of solace and grace Scattered smokes from cigarettes and weed Love that has been rekindled Casted spells of forever The nightmares from the past has been erased Hoping for a dazzling tomorrow Though we know it still stings a little Forgiveness is the only cure from the horror And tonight as we sit across the wooden bar table Savouring every moment the present has to offer With your hand on my chest and my heart on your lips I will kiss all the pain away, for now until the dawn’s abyss
