i held it back, some honest words
a few escaped these lips
they made their way across the waves
to swing on gentle hips

her eyes like ice, light up the night
and shimmer when she grins
i cant shake those teeth, succumbed too deep
the way her laughter fills me in

i hold it back, some honest thoughts
and let the night forget his part
dream away to desert days
when the heat could match the heart
