Aug 2015
As my days grow shorter
And the sun starts to descend
i kneel here,
With a shovel in my hands,
Digging in oblivion,
A pit that i will soon forget,
Deep enough
To hide my agony,
Because I have now discovered,
True bliss in this world,
I have learned
To wear a smile upon my face,
In a moment of need,
And when in times distress,
Thing of the positive,
I have determined,
To never dwell in the yesterday
Or think ahead to tomorrow,
But to concentrate on today,
And live like every passing moment
Could be your last.
So here I am,
Beaming with content,
As I walk away from this grave,
Leaving all the negativity and suffering behind,
I will never return to this spot,
From now on,
I will live a life of joy and comfort.
