The Bottom of a Bottle

The bottom of a bottle. I know you well. We've had fun, sometimes too much. Other times we've been in trouble. Done things I would never do. Things I regret. Sometimes you gave me courage. Like when I kissed her. We both knew it wouldn't happen sober. Occasionally I still visit you. Mainly when I'm feeling friendly, Or just out on the town. Though I'm happy to say, dear bottle, You never could make me sway. I always had to do it my way. Though I see so many fall before you. I know that I'll be strong today. Because in the end.... You're only half a beer away.
