Posh Party

by dollys-poems

An invite to a posh party can't wait to meet old friends dusting off my old high heels not used to fashion trends Hair in an up-do wearing my Tesco dress lipstick matching manicure looking my very best There are lawyers and barristers doctors and millionaires I look around into the crowd catching all their stares Wow it's been so long since we saw your face shaking hands and smiling and accepting their embrace I noticed one of the faces an old flame from the past he looked me up and down his approval I surpassed I think we can rekindled our love may start anew six years on we're going strong the rest can join the queue
