Oh,  how my heart beats
for the love of you
my beautiful creature
with your dark and lovely eyes.
Oh, how I love the precious heart
that beats within your body.
Oh, how I hold you precious within my heart!
Oh, your midnight hair
with the loveliness of the velvet night sky
and how the stars hang like jewels
in your crown.
Oh, how you encompass
the  widest and deepest limits of my heart.
Oh, my heart only beats
through the love of you
and without you
it is but a dead mechanical thing
and my life and soul
are lost and dead without you.
Oh, if you love me not
let the flesh fall from my body
and I return to the dust
from which I came.
Oh, how to hold you in my arms
is a treasure beyond the love of life
and the stars that hang in the starry black infinity
and the heart of my soul shall beat for you
for all eternity.
