Innocence is held captive
by their own tormented souls.
Wake up,
my equals,
wake up.
For when the eyes
of awareness
are first looked through,
one can't get enough.
Only a fool
continues to dream of being asleep.

Take off the hats of unkindness,
they're a burden to us all.
Expose the weakness
that has been smothered
in stubbornness,
it will heal us all.
**** Sapiens
were born with mindfulness,
we've only learned to live
while fast asleep.

The breath has been long forgotten,
ignored,
and taken for granted.
Some of my equals
are even too ignorant
to acknowledge change.
Change occurs within the moment;
beings are not what they were
just two moments ago.
Flowers are blooming
every moment;
lions are breathing
at every moment;
babies are growing;
every moment;
and the earth is moving
in every moment.

Connect,
my dearest equals,
why won't you connect?
I've grown to be in touch
with the love upon this planet,
yet I do not fail to feel
and empathize
with the suffering amongst us all.

The universe and I
are one.
I affect everything,
and everything affects me.
A ripple of interconnectedness,
no one is alone
or forgotten.
Just wake up,
my loving equals,
and open your eyes to truth.
