Standing on the corner of State and Lake
When you came my way
My world was colorless
With one smile you painted every inch, every crevice
Your eyes the color of the oceans and skies
Your lips the color of cherries
I wanna press them against mine
Spent so much time trying to stay between the lines
I became blind to the beauty outside them
Here you stand in a dress the color of night
Lighting up everything in sight
Still in the works. I'll probably add another verse or two. I'm attempting to write this without ever using an actual word for color.
