You think you really know,
what could a dead man need except an empty grave.
The wind rustles the leaves shifted by autmn time,
I hear the crisp footprints approaching from behind
The corners curl as they fall like a ship in the vast ocean
Moving along with no care, no direction just falling effortlessly
We mourn the time that we did not
Branches stretch across blue grey cloud covered sky
You are behind me swaying as I smell you side to side
We are still, admiring the natural carpet laid before us
Sometimes you choose a leaf or two just like childhood memories
We are older through the autumn of our own
Travelling through this tale of ours
It is a choice to stop and notice the beauty around that caught by a snare like rabbit we forget,
The steel as it pierces the defenseless and unwary
Challenge to choose to really see to let go away and climb the trees
Lets walk on sandy beaches in the midst of a storm
Take a chance to live and love

This time I will be different I promise.............

Do you know, you think you do
