A meal without wine is a terrible crime
Wine without more is just frightening
Like a dog without bone
A secret thats known
And thunder without any lightening

For a second or two I forgot about you
My thoughts they all became fruitless
Like an apple a day for the wasted away
A steak for the man who is toothless

Now when I hold you it always rings true
That time is a blade and its cutting
Like a clock without hands
A dream without plans
How a day without you is just nothing
