Expressive when we wish to defy
Young adolescents taking on parents
Even when we are wrong
Rule breaking at every turn
Obsessed with growing up
Listening but not really to our parent's advice
Lashing out, when we feel oppressed
Ignoring their wisdom, thinking we are wiser
Never understanding their advice completely
Going through emotions, eye rolling in rebellion
