from winter to spring
all the lovely things
from summer to fall
my sullen face says it all

winter please be rid
those dark placid nights
under the covers I hid
my hearts in tights

spring filled with promise
new faces filled with intrigue
new love; we are novice
lingering question "are we in the same league"

Summer comes as school does go
ask any little face and they say it's the best
then why do I feel I'm putting on a show
but sitting at home I'd have to detest

fall is a season I meet with glee
for change and new places
what will I be?
love fills the air as my heart paces
