When you put your arms around me,
I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do.
I can be anything I want to be,
As long as I’m with you.
Around you about nothing I feel the need to boast,
Because I believe you already care about me more than most.
And when you talk to me,
I listen oh so intently.
A, if there was ever a day when you did not smile or laugh,
It would tear my heart right in half.
And though I think about you all the time,
The only way to really express how I feel is in a rhyme.
And God must have blessed the broken road,
That led me to you.
For I have carried an enormous load,
And without Him, there’s not much I can do.
