If you’d allow me, I’d be the one to treat you right,
Girl, I swear, you and I will be so tight.
I can love you through thick and thin,
And I’m one of the most forgiving guys there has ever been.
I won’t lie, cheat, or steal,
And I promise, to you, I’ll be real.
I listen to everything you have to say,
And I’ll love you in every possible way.
All I ask in return is that you are true to me,
And for me, be all that you can be.
In return, I’ll be whatever you want me to,
And I’ll do anything you ask me to do.
I’ll still be myself, though
And you know, because it will show.
I really am a kind, caring person,
I’ve changed so much, that’s the main reason.
I didn’t always use to be so good,
As a matter of fact, I use to be quiet rude.
Now all want to do is hold you in my arms tightly,
And tell you that I love you nightly.
I don’t mean like that, either,
And if you need space, just tell me you need a breather.
I will do my best to not hurt you,
And I’ll even cheer you up when you’re feeling blue.
I can promise that I can be everything you want and more,
All you have to do is walk through my front door,
And tell me that you know,
That for you, to the ends of the earth and back I would go.
