I knew what I was getting into
those fine lines cut away from your lips
when reached for mine
warmth of your hands on my waist
on a hot summer night, unwelcomed
I was way too lost in your eyes
that had for the first time, maybe, collapsed into oblivion
of the beauty of love
fallen prey to mine
you slowed down when time made a stop at our feet
in that instant
when the universe decided to breathe through us
I listened to your heartbeat against my chest
woke up with a smile, tears shimmering down to the  realization of an empty morning
and your love
nothing but a mere escape
a hope
I live everyday.
