I remember changing diapers
When you were about two
Remember some of the capers
You'd get yourself into

One such caper comes to mind
We'd all been down to nap
It's been one I'd like to rewind
Because to me, naps were crap

If just one of us were awake
You never would have made the climb
Resulting in a sick mistake
Losing before your prime

Whenever you became a man
Gone away was the clown
I even became your big fan
Though I am not around

You went and became a soldier
And still I'm not around
Circumstance after another
Brought me back into town

I befriended you on face book
To keep myself in touch
With my computer I can look
See how you are and such

To share about myself in turn
My plans to reconnect, soon took a dive
For today, at four o'clock I learned
You no longer are alive
I wrote this shortly after learning that he passed... And then the following day one of the poets on all poetry had a contest going... After taking a minute, I decided to enter.. His comment was that he had no idea that this particular contest would be hard to judge.... Not only that, he said that all of the poems pulled at him...
