Flight of the Hummingbird

Having wings of tremendous speed Sound entwined with a windless day I watch as the hummingbird feeds Can't seem to pull myself away For this small bird seems overworked A human's yard is his reward Where feeders of sweet nectar lurk Before he continues onward I don't know from whence he travels But he is a sight to behold Like a puzzle to unravel He appears when nature has called
