Cracked an eye,
still a smooth blanket of dark.
Glue unstuck, the pebbles tumble
to my brain and scoot and sing
across a caffeine urge,
simple movement,
groggy knowledge.

Urination, caffeinated, contacts in,
rockslide.
The inner bump and stumble,
never slowing,
Dead awake.
