Blood

by Nieve

Red as the rose Thicker than water More passionate than crimson It pumps through my veins And goes through my heart Keeping me alive From head to toe All over my body It's hidden beneath my skin The only way for you to see it Would be to hurt me One slice, you will see it One stab, you will see it One hard hit, and you will see it My blood makes me human It makes me who I am.
