i love it so much
that you dance with me.
in my room, you twirl me
to Louis Armstrong, trumpets are familiar to us both
Or you sway me back
and forth
           on bridges
they lift us up

                             so high

and you wrap your large hands
tightly but gently (like you're
                                  afraid I might
                                  fly away
                                                  -I won't)

around my waist

                             and look into my
                              windows
                                                    and see
                              all the rain

                                           how I miss you
                                                         when you're gone.
