The everlasting heartache,
it makes the world turn grey,
I’m lost along a hallway,
am I here to stay?

Whatever might be waiting,
whatever’s there to come,
if only I were willing,
willing to come along.

Although I may not know now,
it is all up to me,
I am the only one here
to tell me “be happy”.

Being so on one hand,
the other may be not,
living life’s duality
like two ends of a knot.

Pull them tight, release them,
seeing where it goes,
I’m lost along a hallway,
but I am there almost.
