she's beautiful

the way that her black hair reflected the firelight made me feel alive
made everything feel slightly more real

I pushed her hair behind her ear
it was dancing freely in the wind
and I pushed it behind her right ear
and she smiled at me

she smiled at me
my heart danced and sang and rejoiced
she's an angel who says I could lead her to death
she told me she'd follow me anywhere
I said "I would never ask you to"

I would ask her to
I'm leaving in three months
i'm sorry
