May 2015
Midnight crawls between black satin sheets wearing nothing but all day skin
Tongue dripping with concentrated fibs
Hoping to lick daylight from between her thighs
He thrusts against the moments that they once shared
Aroused by a surge of lechery, she's tempted
Her spirit still wet from allowing his sin to rupture her already swollen fears
Her body rejects the memory of the passion they once shared
She can't bleed the poison from her soul
Her mind is calloused
Her heart is the only entity that's persuadable
He massages it until it's soft, creamy and weak to his touch
With her guards cuffed to the head of the moment, she submits
Only to abandon the truth that's been there since the wake of his betrayal
He slides lies back-and-forth throughout the crevices of her trust
She's entangled in a web that once held promises of forever yours
She misses the walks in his heart
Her mind grinds desperately against a slither of hope
She wants to release the demons that he fertilized her with
Instead she sacrifices her soul to the crust of a man that gave his to the streets
Once again she's left empty with nothing but the thoughts around her ankles and the crumbled regret at her feet
