Oh, how I have longed
to find a place within your heart
to know that you care for me
even be that place ever so small.
Oh, you are the beginning and ending of my world
in every breath I take
and ever sigh I make
your name is there.
Oh, tell me if you love me so
or is your heart so cold
as a moonless winter night
and you will soon forget my name.
Oh, my very life depends on your love
for if you love me not then I shall die
and my heart and soul will suffer
suffer in bitter anguish
through all the endless days to come.
Oh, you are in every fiber of my being.
My first thoughts when I awake
and the last thoughts when I lay my weary head down
are of you.
Oh, how this suffering is without end
this question as heavy as the shadows of death
"Do you have any love for me
or is your heart as cold as ice
and as sharp as the sharpest knife?"
That heart would cut my soul to a million pieces.
Oh, how you hold my life in your hands.
Oh, how I long for your love
as the night longs for the stars
that hang within its dark velvet infinity
and the moon longs to give its light.
Oh, I can never forget you
you are ever in my mind and before my eyes
and shall always remain
as long as eternity shall last.
Oh, how the blood that flows through my veins
ever calls your name
to the deep parts of my soul
and how in the center of my soul
there is a deep aching love for you
for if you love me not
my soul shall dissolve
into its millions of pieces
and I will reside in the dark pits of eternity
and sleep in a dark icy grave forevermore.
