A Plan Executed

Sitting there I look at you

Knowing exactly what to do

I’ve gone over my plan completely again

I know that you are my best friend

I grab your hand and start to say

Those three little words maybe I may

“I…I love you.”

You look at me with your blue eyes

And in your face there’s no surprise

It’s like all along you knew

What I was about to do

And then all of the sudden, out of the blue

You embrace me and say “I love you too.”
