Snow

The snow you fall, without remorse

Coming down, right on your course

What happens to you, right after you fall

Is what happens to me, right after I call

You get your answer, you fall with your brothers

I sit here crying, wishing for others

You fall on your own, by your own time

I'm sitting alone, writing a rhyme

You're always so new

While I'm thinking of you

The things I feel for someone so keen

Makes me wish that I had been

There, when you answered my call

That I had left there, in that hall

So yet again, snow as it falls

I sit here wishing, in these halls

You eventually answer, but there's no one there

Not even me, to give a care

If you had hurried, to return my favours

Perhaps I would have eaten, different flavours

But as it turns out, you weren't meant for me

So I clipped off a branch, from my own tree

I've found someone else, to fulfill that gap

They've beaten your score, lap after lap

You are old, compared to my new

So good riddance to you, like an old shoe

My new loves me, the way I loved you

But now I love him, it's ever so true

And just as the snow, falls from the sky

I can hear you whimper, but please don't cry

I may not love you as you do

Me, but I'm sure there will be others

You are my old, and he is my new

So snow keeps falling, day after day

Let it pick you up, hip hip hooray

Feeling happy, is a feeling so pure

So you will find your love

This I am sure

For I have mine, sweet as a dove

You will find yours, look in the snow

It never makes sense at first

But keep on looking, they will show

You both have, an equal thirst

You'll love each other, as we loved each other

But now that I have another

You must find your own, to fill up your gap

Find your own mate, complete that last lap

The snow still falls, down from the heavens

Eagerly waiting, for the odds and evens

Of this world we've created to date

You love your own, And I'll love my mate
