It's that time of year again
When that rabbit comes, and just like a hen

He leaves all those little chocolates and eggs
For all the little ones, with their little legs

They dart around the yard, zipping back and forth
As though they were celebrating, July the fourth

Little kids carry their Easter bags, and with glee
They find the small chocolates, especially under the tree

Once they've had their fun, and eaten their fair share
They cuddle up with their families, warm as a bear

To show how much they love eachother, towards their mum
They throw the sweetest kiss, like a cake of ***

On a day like today, that only comes once a year
'Tis not only Easter, guess what else is here

A birthday for your mum, on this nice Easter day
Isn't it nice to know, she's turning 40 today?

Show your affection, for more than one reason
Forgetting about today, should be considered treason

I say, "Happy Birthday." You give me a smile
And even I know that It's been awhile

Since you last heard those words coming your way
But what better time to hear them, than today

It's true that I love you, these feelings are not locked in a chest
Happy birthday, mum. Have I told you, that you're the best?
