Sooner or later God is gonna cut you down
But I saw **** and *** with soul
a ****** brushes against your lips
and you say mean things because you can't help it
but she likes it.

And then it's over,
and she looks at you with a joking glance,
and you smile ashamed,
and she owns you.

All those things she lets you do.
She owns you.
She owns you by allowing it,
and letting you know she could take it away,
with a quiet word that reflects a thousand whispers of doubt.

She pities you.
But her generosity is the blood that pumps her life alive.
She knows what she holds heals.

You give her your sliced muscles, and broken back.
She knows you can hit harder than that,
and of course she lets you know.

She kneels for you in your life and you kneel for her in your dreams.

And she smiles,
and runs and skips and jumps,
but she does not come down.

She flies,
spreads her body to the sky,
and steals the sun.
