Oh, you are the guiding light of my soul.
When I see your lovely form
my love for you cuts through the darkness in my soul.
For my soul would live in perpetual night without you.
Oh, my heart beats out its eternal love song
in its fervent haunted desire for you.
Oh, you are a dark and haunting beauty.
A thing from a far off exotic land.
Oh, how your face and form
has worked its way deep into my memory
and has ever become part of my mind and soul.
Oh, at night I pursue you
ever and ever through my dreams
through the dark night of my soul
where hope for your love
is ever a light for my feet
that I stumble not along my way.
Oh, in the morning light
when my eyes flutter open
Oh, the pain and deep longing I feel
for the want of you by my side.
Oh, cast me not aside my precious angel.
For how can you know? Oh, how can you know
how all hope in life is in my love for you
and I would be but a pitiful lost soul without you
like a blind and forlorn beggar
that has forever lost his way.
