He can only see
her voice

cry out

hear her body
move under him.

The moon
averts her eyes

leaves the lovers
lost in darkness

country dark
blind

to almost everything but
themselves

the wind flowing
through tree to tree

the world available
only through touch

the lap lap lap
of lake

waters

an owl's call.
