Pantoum of Innocence
As a child
I knew not
Of death and despair and
The tragedy of life.
I knew not
Where my soul resides.
The tragedy of life
Meant nothing to me.
Where my soul resides
Is in the callous palms of another, but that
Meant nothing to me
As a child.
