My cat was stolen

I wish I could have saved you

From whoever took you away

Your life was a pawn unknowing

That pawn was forced into play

I would have given my life for yours

And our places swapped without hesitation

Yet we've been there times before

And so this time I must not give into temptation

I want to beg you for your forgiveness

Even though I know you understand

And be there to always whisper the reminder

That its soon I shall hold you by the hand
