Oh, you are my savior
for your love
and the warm beating of your heart
is all that keeps me alive.
For without you I would be
but a poor dying thing.
Oh, you are my very beginning and end
for my soul knows your name
and comes alive at the sound of your voice.
Oh, to my eyes
your face shines more lovely
than all the stars the heavens can hold.
Oh, with your love I can bear anything
endure anything!
But oh, without you
my heart and spirit is but a poor dead thing
a mere lump of dead clay.
Oh, how I can never find the words
to tell of the world you mean to me.
That you are the very life of my soul
and that with every beat of my heart
it beats for you.
That you are the very beginningΒ Β and ending of my soul
that all the love within my heart
can be found within you.
And that without you
my heart and soul would dry and wither
like some dying rose.
And I would suffer endless pain
in the torture chamber of my soul.
