I wish you were here. I wish I didn’t have to look as far as I can into the horizon only to realise that you are much much farther. I wish that you were as far as my eyes can reach so I could see how strong you have become. I wish you were as far as my mouth could touch so I could taste how sweet you made me feel. I wish you were as far as my ear could listen to so that I could hear the rhythm of the heart that I dance to everyday.

But you’re not. And it's as if my senses cannot function. Well maybe they are, but all for the wrong purposes. My eyes see a world without you in it. My ears listen to endless silence I can hardly bear. My fingertips touch memories that cut deeper than a knife. And my heart feels so much pain that shuts me down completely.

All because you’re gone.
