Don’t hide behind gender.

Don’t hide behind race.

Bring your truth to the front.

And your problems you’ll face.

Don’t hide behind your sexuality.

Don’t hide behind lies.

Speak with you heart

and talk with your eyes.

I can see the pain

its evident in your glow.

But if not spoken

how will we ever know?

We a mouth to speak

and a tongue to make sense.

A brain to spark thoughts.

Yet we won’t talk about it?

Let your words be your army.

Charging through past the enemy lines.

Let me know how you feel.

Don’t hide behind lines.

So stand up tall for me, daddy.

Let me know how you feel.

You’re always there for me.

Now show me that you’re real.
